quick note: I’m going to be absent from this account for a bit as I focus on things at home and with my health. I have a lot of scans and appointments coming up and I’d like to take a brief hiatus to really be more at ease with everything that needs to be taken care of, including myself.
For those who have my email I still check there frequently if you send me a message, though it might take me a bit to reply.
(IS peeps I love you v much and I’m sorry for the absence. The holidays
and everything else that happened along wth it made me emotionally curl
up and convalesce silently- a process which is still ongoing.)
Just to be clear, I’m okay, I just need some time offline to get things done and take care of myself.
This is for all the writers who:
- Have never finished a project
- Don’t have publishing as their big goal
- Write purely for enjoyment
- Can’t/don’t stick to an idea
- Don’t put their work out for people to read
- Write purely as a hobby
You are just as valid and talented as writers who have been published, or have finished projects. You are still a writer, even if you don’t have other people read your work. You don’t have to pursue the same goals and have similar accomplishments to other people to be valid as a writer.
You are valid, you are important, and you are talented.

Your purpose in life is not to love yourself but to love being yourself.
If you goal is to love yourself, then your focus is directed inward toward yourself, and you end up constantly watching yourself from the outside, disconnected, trying to summon the “correct” feelings towards yourself or fashion yourself into something you can approve of.
If your goal is to love being yourself, then your focus is directed outward towards life, on living and making decisions based on what brings you pleasure and fulfillment.
Be the subject, not the object. It doesn’t matter what you think of yourself. You are experiencing life. Life is not experiencing you.
Thank you this is the first post about self love that hasn’t made me want to throw things
